  • Iron Lady Coach

Interested in becoming an Iron Lady Golf coach?

We are hiring driven and motivated individuals that are passionate about building community for women and helping them improve their skills along the way. Iron Lady is a great place to further your career both from a coaching, business and networking opportunity.

Golf Canada recently changed the rules around amateur status and Iron Lady is now an approved program to help grow the game!

We are looking for great communicators and people skills. An entrepreneurial “go-getter” spirit, attention to detail and reliability. This is an incredible chance to help grow women’s golf across Canada and beyond!

  • Iron League Captain

Our Iron Lady Golf Leagues are growing! We are looking for passionate individuals that are excited about helping more women “say yes” to golf and playing an important role in growing our community. If you love people, golf and bringing those two together, we would love to hear from you!

This is an exciting position that provides a great way to get involved with your community, playing golf weekly and encouraging more women to play!

No great golfer experience needed, just passion and spirit for golf and community! 😀

Captains play in our leagues for free.

  • Iron Lady Headquarters

Welcome to Iron Lady Golf! We are a community for women where you can learn, play and connect on (and off) the golf course.

To date, Iron Lady Golf has helped over 20,000 women learn how to play golf and more importantly, feel part of an inclusive community.

At Iron Lady Golf, we have programs that help you learn golf for the very first time or improve your skills as a competitive player. We have weekly leagues that welcome all levels of golfers and travel retreats that take our Iron Lady Golfers on trips around the world.

Meet the Iron Lady Team

Lindsay Knowlton

FOUNDER

Lindsay Knowlton has a long history in golf. Her dad got her interested in the sport when she was 14 (because he needed a friend to play with!). Shortly after taking up the game (and finally getting the ball off the ground), Lindsay got the “golf bug”!

Lindsay started playing in competitive events which earned her a full scholarship to Ohio State University where she was the captain of the team and earned All American Honors. She was a 3-year member of Canada’s National Team, 3 time Ontario Champion and won a silver medal at the 2004 World Championships.

After years of competitive golf, Lindsay moved into the corporate workforce realizing that she wanted to help more women “say yes” to the golf invitations they were getting (for work, to play with family, friends etc). She started Iron Lady Golf to help empower women and build their confidence out on the golf course. To date, Iron Lady Golf has taught over 20,000 women how to play golf.

Lindsay is a PGA of Canada Class A professional, Taylormade Golf Advisory Board Member, Ontario Golf Association Ambassador and most of all, passionate about building community.

  • Nyssa K.

MANAGER OF INTEGRATION & CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

Why do you play golf? I play because it's a great balance of sport and social elements. I get to exercise outdoors while catching up with friends.

Your favourite thing about Iron Lady Golf? I really enjoy the friendliness and supportiveness of the community. It can be daunting to join a new group and/or start a new sport, but there are so many great people who make you feel welcome right away.

One interesting thing about you. I’ve been playing hockey since I was six years old. My main claim to fame is scoring on the Russian goaltender from the 1972 Summit Series!

Why do you play golf? For the challenge it presents both physically and mentally!

Your favourite thing about Iron Lady Golf? The community. It truly is one of a kind. Golf is an incredibly intimidating sport whether you’re a beginner or you’ve played for a number of years. The community we have here is a safe and inclusive space where women support other women and together we grow. This goes beyond golf.

One interesting thing about you. I played hockey growing up and didn’t start to play golf competitively until later.

  • Julia H.

Why do you play golf? I’ve been watching a lot of golf content from the sidelines, but have yet to play! Hopefully, I’ll be making some hole in ones soon.

One interesting thing about you. I used to sing classically.
